VEFF is an innovative HCD event dedicated to empowering youth and women across Unguja in an engaging, vibrant, and impactful atmosphere. With its joyous and community-focused approach, the festival aims to reach over 2,000 young people and women, offering vital SRHR education, on-site health services, and entrepreneurial skill-building opportunities. Planned as an annual celebration in 2024 and 2025, the festival embodies the spirit of a youthful Zanzibar, fostering a fit, dynamic, and opportunity-driven community. It creates a safe space for youth to access essential services, celebrate their talents, and engage in harmless fun while promoting peer support and collaboration. This year’s VEFF was a resounding success with half of the Attendees benefitting from on spot health services, free treatments, mysterious gifts and a set of new hands skills like scent, bracelets and liquid soap making. ZAFAYCO hosted this event in partnership with Marie Stopes Tanzania under the StartSmall sup.
