These young people are well-loved across Zanzibar and have recently gained global recognition. For years, they have been diving at Forodhani shores for fun, representing the spirit of youth-led creativity and resilience. As strong supporters of such initiatives, ZAFAYCO and Marie Stopes Tanzania (MST) via the StartSmall project leveraged their talents to promote SRHR education and economic empowerment. Earlier this week, ZAFAYCO and the MST team joined them at Forodhani Park to advance the project’s theme—motivating young people to reclaim their power and health while celebrating their unique skills. In collaboration with the Ministry of Health Zanzibar, we remain dedicated to ensuring that young people have access to accurate SRHR information and timely health services in ways that are familiar and comfortable to them.
